Cipla Cuts MRP of 28 Cancer Medicines from 9 November 2026: Old vs New Price List

By Neeraj Kathuria, Pharmacist (AARX Pharmacy) · 26 October 2026

Cipla has issued a revised MRP list for its cancer-care and specialty range. For 28 of the 32 medicines on the list the MRP comes down, and the company's notice says the benefit of the lower MRP is to be passed on to patients from 9 November 2026. For some of them the cut is dramatic: a pack of Dasatrue 70 mg drops from about ₹8,766 to ₹1,858, and Armotraz 1 mg from ₹785 to under ₹150.

Cancer treatment usually runs for months or years, so a change of this size matters to a family's monthly budget. Below is what changes, when, and the full medicine-by-medicine list.

What changes, and from when

  • Up to 8 November 2026: the existing MRP applies.
  • From 9 November 2026: the revised (lower) MRP applies. Packs printed with the older MRP may still be in the market for a while; Cipla's notice says the benefit of the reduction is to be passed on to patients from this date, so you should not be charged more than the new MRP.
  • Four medicines are unchanged: Actemra 80 mg, 200 mg and 400 mg, and Gazyva.

Biggest reductions

  • Armotraz 1mg: ₹784.71 → ₹146.78, about 81% lower
  • Dasatrue 70mg: ₹8,765.62 → ₹1,858.17, about 79% lower
  • Dasatrue 50mg: ₹6,703.12 → ₹2,030.50, about 70% lower
  • Erlocip 150mg: ₹9,798.99 → ₹3,448.37, about 65% lower
  • Erlocip 100mg: ₹6,759.66 → ₹2,990.13, about 56% lower

Medicines whose MRP stays the same

Should you wait until 9 November to buy?

Never stop or delay a cancer medicine to save money. A missed course can let the disease progress, and that costs far more than any price difference. If you still have enough tablets to last past 9 November, it is reasonable to plan your next purchase for after that date. If you are running short, buy what you need now. And if cost is the real problem, tell your oncologist: there are often patient-support programmes, and sometimes a different pack size or brand can help.

All of these are Schedule H prescription medicines. Many need regular blood tests or other monitoring while you take them, so they must only be used under your specialist's supervision.
