A2 5/10 MG Tablet may be prescribed for:

High blood pressure (Hypertension)

High cholesterol (Hyperlipidemia)

Co-existing hypertension and high cholesterol

Prevention of complications such as heart attack and stroke when prescribed as part of cardiovascular risk management.

Headache

Dizziness

Abdominal pain

Nausea

Diarrhoea

Indigestion

Weakness or tiredness

Swelling of the ankles or feet

Flushing or feeling of warmth

Muscle pain

Increased liver enzymes

Important

Rarely, Atorvastatin can cause serious muscle-related problems. Unexplained severe muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, especially with dark-coloured urine, should be reported to a doctor promptly.

Similarly, symptoms such as yellowing of the skin/eyes, unusually dark urine or persistent abdominal pain may indicate liver problems and require medical evaluation.

How to Use A2 TABLET

• Take A2 5/10 MG exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water.
• It can generally be taken with or without food.
• Try to take it at approximately the same time every day.
• Do not crush, break or chew the tablet unless specifically instructed.
• Do not stop the medicine on your own even if your blood pressure or cholesterol improves.
• If you miss a dose, take it when remembered unless it is almost time for the next dose. Do not take a double dose.

Safety Information and Precautions for A2 TABLET

• Prescription medicine — use only under medical supervision.
• Inform your doctor if you have liver disease or a history of abnormal liver-function tests.
• Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, heart problems or very low blood pressure.
• Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness promptly.
• Avoid excessive alcohol consumption because it can increase the risk of liver-related problems with Atorvastatin.
• Avoid grapefruit/grapefruit juice unless your doctor says it is safe, as it may increase Atorvastatin exposure.
• Inform your doctor about all medicines and supplements you are taking, particularly antibiotics, antifungal medicines and other cholesterol-lowering medicines.
• A2 should not be used during pregnancy because of the Atorvastatin component.
• Breastfeeding should be discussed with your doctor before starting treatment.
• Do not use the medicine if you have previously experienced an allergic reaction to Amlodipine, Atorvastatin or any component.
• Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C, protected from direct sunlight and moisture.
