WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Certain sexually transmitted infections as advised by a doctor
• Whooping cough and diphtheria as part of treatment
• Infections in people allergic to penicillin, as an alternative antibiotic

HOW IT WORKS

• It stops bacteria from making proteins they need to grow and multiply
• This slows down and eventually kills the bacteria causing infection
• It works only against bacteria, not viruses

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually before meals for better absorption
• Swallow tablets or capsules with a full glass of water
• If using liquid form, shake well and measure the dose with the provided measuring device
• Complete the full course even if you feel better, unless your doctor tells you otherwise
• Try to take doses at evenly spaced intervals through the day

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature away from direct sunlight and moisture
