This composition is mainly used to treat pain and discomfort in the mouth caused by ulcers, teething, denture irritation, and minor gum soreness.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Relief of pain from mouth ulcers
• Teething pain in infants (only as advised by a doctor)
• Soreness caused by dentures or braces
• Minor gum irritation and inflammation

HOW IT WORKS

• Choline salicylate reduces pain and inflammation at the site of application
• Lidocaine numbs the nerve endings in the area, giving quick relief from pain
• Together they provide fast and local pain relief without affecting the whole body much

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for treating infections of the mouth or throat

• Difficulty breathing or swallowing
• Severe allergic skin reaction (rash, itching, hives)
• Signs of salicylate toxicity such as ringing in the ears, vomiting, or confusion (especially if used in large amounts or in children)
• Unusual drowsiness or irregular heartbeat

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Apply a small amount directly to the affected area of the mouth or gums with a clean fingertip or cotton swab
• Use only as often as advised by your doctor or dentist
• Avoid eating or drinking immediately after application to allow it to act
• Do not swallow the gel or liquid
• Wash your hands before and after applying
• Do not use more than the recommended amount, especially in children

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• This medicine is usually used as needed for pain relief, not on a fixed schedule
• If your doctor has given you a specific schedule, apply the missed dose as soon as you remember
• Do not apply extra amounts to make up for a missed application
