Uses and Benefits of BRITIBLU EYE DROP (TIMOLOL 0.5% W/V + BRIMONIDINE 0.2% W/V)
This medicine is used to treat raised pressure inside the eye, commonly caused by open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Lowering high pressure inside the eye
- Managing open-angle glaucoma
- Managing ocular hypertension
- Used when a single eye pressure-lowering drop is not enough
HOW IT WORKS
- Timolol reduces the amount of fluid (aqueous humour) produced inside the eye
- Brimonidine reduces fluid production and also helps fluid drain out better
- Together they lower eye pressure more than either medicine alone
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for eye infections
- Not used for eye redness due to allergy
- Not used for dry eyes
- Not a treatment for cataract
- Not for immediate relief of eye pain or injury

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Eye redness or irritation
- Burning or stinging after applying drops
- Dry eyes
- Blurred vision for a short time
- Itching around the eyes
LESS COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Headache
- Drowsiness or tiredness
- Dry mouth
- Change in taste
- Feeling of something in the eye
SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY
- Slow or irregular heartbeat
- Severe dizziness or fainting
- Difficulty breathing or wheezing
- Swelling of face, lips or eyelids
- Severe eye pain or sudden vision loss
- Signs of allergic reaction such as rash or severe itching

How to Use BRITIBLU EYE DROP (TIMOLOL 0.5% W/V + BRIMONIDINE 0.2% W/V)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Use only in the eye(s), as prescribed by your doctor
- Wash your hands before using the drops
- Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid, and place a drop inside
- Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any surface
- Press gently on the inner corner of the eye for a minute after applying to reduce absorption into the body
- If using other eye drops, wait at least 5-10 minutes between different drops
- Do not stop using it suddenly without consulting your doctor
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Apply it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not apply two doses together to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store as directed on the pack, usually below 25°C
- Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use
- Discard the bottle after the recommended period once opened, as advised by your pharmacist
- Keep out of reach of children

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to timolol, brimonidine, or any component of the drops
- Have severe asthma or chronic obstructive lung disease
- Have a very slow heart rate or certain heart block conditions
- Have severe heart failure
- Are a young infant (not recommended in very young children)
TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU
- Have asthma or breathing problems
- Have heart disease, low blood pressure, or circulation problems
- Have diabetes, as it may mask signs of low blood sugar
- Have depression or mental health conditions
- Wear contact lenses
- Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
- Are using other eye drops or glaucoma medicines

- Calcium channel blockers or other blood pressure medicines
- Antidepressants such as MAO inhibitors

Your vision may be blurred briefly after applying, so wait until it clears before driving or operating machinery.

Can I use this with contact lenses?
- Remove contact lenses before applying the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back in.
