Uses and Benefits of BRUGEL CREAM (FLURBIPROFEN (5% W/W))
Flurbiprofen 5% w/w gel/cream is used to treat local pain and inflammation of muscles and joints.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Muscle sprains and strains
- Joint pain due to osteoarthritis
- Backache and minor sports injuries
- Localised swelling and stiffness
HOW IT WORKS
- It belongs to the NSAID group of medicines
- It blocks certain chemicals (prostaglandins) in the skin and tissue that cause pain and swelling
- Because it is applied on the skin, it acts mainly at the site of application with limited absorption into the rest of the body
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not meant for internal pain like stomach ache or headache
- It should not be used on broken skin, wounds, or infections
- It is not a substitute for treating the underlying cause of chronic joint disease
- It is not recommended for children unless advised by a doctor

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

- Redness of the skin

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY
- Severe skin blistering or peeling
- Signs of allergic reaction such as swelling of face, lips or throat, or difficulty breathing
- Severe itching or hives spreading beyond the applied area
- Unusual skin darkening or persistent irritation that does not improve

How to Use BRUGEL CREAM (FLURBIPROFEN (5% W/W))
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Apply a thin layer of the gel/cream over the affected area as directed by your doctor
- Gently massage until absorbed
- Wash your hands after applying, unless the hands are the area being treated
- Avoid applying to broken skin, wounds, or mucous membranes such as eyes and mouth
- Do not cover the area with an airtight bandage unless your doctor advises
- Do not exceed the frequency or duration advised by your doctor
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Apply as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next application, skip the missed one
- Do not apply extra to make up for a missed dose
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat
- Keep the tube tightly closed
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
