Uses and Benefits of CANAZOLF VG GEL (CLOTRIMAZOLE 2% W/W)

Clotrimazole 2% w/w is mainly used to treat fungal infections of the skin such as ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch, and fungal infections of skin folds. It may also be used for certain yeast infections of the skin.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Ringworm (tinea) infections of the body, groin, and feet
• Fungal infections of skin folds such as under the breasts or armpits
• Yeast (Candida) infections of the skin
• Fungal skin rash with itching, redness, and scaling

HOW IT WORKS

• Clotrimazole acts on the fungal cell membrane
• It weakens the membrane and stops the fungus from multiplying
• This gradually clears the infection and reduces itching and redness

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not used for bacterial skin infections
• It is not used for viral infections such as herpes or warts
• It is not meant for internal or oral fungal infections
• It is not a treatment for acne or general dry skin

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Use only on the skin, exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• Wash and dry the affected area gently before applying
• Apply a thin layer and rub in gently
• Wash your hands after application unless the hands are being treated
• Continue using for the full duration advised, even if symptoms improve early
• Avoid contact with eyes, nose, or mouth

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Apply as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next application, skip the missed one
• Do not apply extra to make up for a missed dose

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep the cap tightly closed after use
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
