WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Invasive candidiasis (fungal infection in the blood or body)
• Invasive aspergillosis when other antifungal treatments have not worked or cannot be used
• Suspected fungal infections in patients with fever and low white blood cell counts
• Oesophageal candidiasis (fungal infection of the food pipe)

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks an enzyme fungi need to build their cell wall
• This weakens the fungal cell wall and destroys the fungus
