HOW IT WORKS

• Ceftriaxone is a cephalosporin antibiotic that stops bacteria from building their protective cell wall, killing them
• Sulbactam blocks certain bacterial enzymes (beta-lactamases) that would otherwise destroy ceftriaxone

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to ceftriaxone, sulbactam, or other cephalosporin/penicillin antibiotics

• Have been advised against calcium-containing IV products being given at the same time (in newborns)
