Cetirizine 5mg is used to treat symptoms caused by allergic conditions.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny or blocked nose due to allergy)
- Itching and redness caused by allergic skin conditions such as hives (urticaria)
- Watery, itchy eyes caused by allergies
- Seasonal allergies such as those caused by pollen or dust
HOW IT WORKS
- It blocks a natural substance called histamine that the body releases during an allergic reaction
- By blocking histamine, it reduces sneezing, itching, swelling, and watery discharge
- It provides relief for about 24 hours with one dose
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not a treatment for bacterial or viral infections
- It does not cure asthma, though it may sometimes be used alongside asthma treatment
- It is not a painkiller and does not treat fever
- It should not be used as a sleep aid, although mild drowsiness can occur

How to Use CETZINE Syrup (Cetirizine 5mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor or as mentioned on the pack
- It can be taken with or without food
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water; do not chew unless it is a chewable form
- If using syrup, use the measuring cup provided for accurate dosing
- Try to take it at the same time every day for consistent effect
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
