Clarithromycin 125mg is used to treat various bacterial infections in the body.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis, sinusitis, and pneumonia
- Skin and soft tissue infections
- Throat and ear infections caused by susceptible bacteria
- As part of combination therapy to treat H. pylori infection causing stomach ulcers
HOW IT WORKS
- Clarithromycin stops bacteria from making proteins they need to grow and multiply
- This action helps control and clear the bacterial infection over time
- It is effective mainly against certain gram-positive and some gram-negative bacteria
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It does not work against viral infections such as common cold or flu
- It should not be used to treat fungal infections
- It is not a painkiller and does not treat pain unrelated to infection
- It should not be used without medical advice for undiagnosed fever

How to Use CLOFF Syrup (Clarithromycin 125mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor
- It can be taken with or without food, unless your doctor advises otherwise
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water; do not crush or chew unless instructed
- Complete the full course even if you feel better before finishing it
- Try to take it at the same time each day to maintain steady levels in the body
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
- If using liquid suspension, check label for specific storage instructions such as refrigeration
