Uses and Benefits of DUVADILAN INJECTION (ISOXSUPRINE (5MG/ML))
Isoxsuprine is mainly used to treat conditions caused by poor blood circulation and certain pregnancy-related uterine problems.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Improving blood flow in peripheral vascular disease
- Managing symptoms of poor circulation such as cramping leg pain
- Helping relax the uterus in cases of threatened premature labour (as decided by the doctor)
- Supporting circulation problems related to certain blood vessel spasms
HOW IT WORKS
- It relaxes the smooth muscles present in the walls of blood vessels
- This widening of blood vessels (vasodilation) increases blood flow to muscles and organs
- It also relaxes the smooth muscle of the uterus, reducing contractions
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not a painkiller and does not treat pain directly
- It is not used for heart attack or stroke treatment
- It is not a first-line treatment for high blood pressure
- It should not be used for general pregnancy support without a doctor's advice

- Severe drop in blood pressure causing fainting
- Signs of allergic reaction such as swelling of face, lips or throat, or difficulty breathing
- Unusual bleeding, especially if used during pregnancy
- Severe abdominal pain

HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor
- It may be taken with or without food, unless your doctor advises otherwise
- Do not increase or decrease the dose on your own
- If given as an injection, it will usually be administered by a healthcare professional
- Continue taking it for the full duration advised, even if you feel better
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take the missed dose as soon as you remember

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
