• Signs of severe low blood sugar such as confusion, seizures, or loss of consciousness
• Signs of allergic reaction such as rash, breathing difficulty, or swelling of face and throat
• Very low potassium levels causing muscle weakness or irregular heartbeat
• Sudden severe swelling or difficulty breathing

How to Use EGLUCENT KWIK PEN (INSULIN LISPRO 100IU)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Use exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• Usually injected under the skin (subcutaneously) shortly before or right after a meal
• Injection sites include abdomen, thigh, upper arm or buttocks; rotate sites to avoid skin problems
• Do not mix with other insulins unless advised by your doctor
• Check the insulin looks clear and colourless before use; do not use if cloudy or discoloured
• Follow the injection technique taught by your doctor or nurse

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Since this insulin is taken with meals, do not take a missed dose after the meal is over unless advised
• Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one
• Check your blood sugar and contact your doctor if unsure what to do

STORAGE

• Store unopened insulin in the refrigerator, away from freezing
• Once in use, it may be kept at room temperature as per the label, away from direct heat and sunlight
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date
