Uses and Benefits of EXECARE F CREAM (HALOMETASONE 0.05% W/W+FUSIDIC ACID 2% W/W)

This combination is prescribed for inflamed skin conditions that are also infected or likely to get infected by bacteria, such as infected eczema, infected dermatitis, and other inflammatory skin conditions with bacterial involvement.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Bacterial skin infections associated with inflammation
• Infected eczema and dermatitis
• Itchy, red, and inflamed skin patches caused by bacteria
• Skin conditions where both infection and inflammation need to be controlled together

HOW IT WORKS

• Halometasone is a corticosteroid that reduces redness, swelling, and itching by calming the immune response in the skin
• Fusidic acid is an antibiotic that kills or stops the growth of bacteria causing the infection
• Together they treat the infection and reduce inflammation at the same time

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Viral skin infections such as herpes or chickenpox rashes
• Fungal skin infections like ringworm
• Acne or rosacea
• Plain dry skin without infection or inflammation
• Long-term routine use on normal skin

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Burning or stinging sensation at the application site
• Itching
• Dryness of the skin
• Mild redness

LESS COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Thinning of the skin with prolonged use
• Skin discoloration
• Small visible blood vessels on the skin
• Increased hair growth at the site

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY

• Signs of allergic reaction such as severe rash, swelling of face or lips, or difficulty breathing
• Severe skin irritation, blistering, or oozing
• Signs of skin infection worsening despite treatment
• Stretch marks or unusual skin thinning with long-term use
• Symptoms of the medicine being absorbed into the body, such as unusual tiredness or weight changes, with prolonged use over large areas

How to Use EXECARE F CREAM (HALOMETASONE 0.05% W/W+FUSIDIC ACID 2% W/W)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• For external use on the skin only
• Wash and dry the affected area gently before application
• Apply a thin layer to the affected area as prescribed by your doctor
• Use only for the duration advised by your doctor; do not use for longer than prescribed
• Wash your hands after applying, unless the hands are the area being treated
• Avoid applying on the face, groin, or underarms unless specifically advised by your doctor
• Do not cover the area with an airtight bandage unless your doctor tells you to
• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and nose

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Apply as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next application, skip the missed one and continue as usual
• Do not apply extra to make up for a missed dose

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
• Keep the tube tightly closed
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to halometasone, fusidic acid, or any other ingredient in this medicine
• Have a viral skin infection such as chickenpox or herpes
• Have a fungal or tubercular skin infection at the site
• Have untreated skin infections other than bacterial ones

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Are using this medicine on a child
• Need to use it on the face, groin, or skin folds
• Have thin or fragile skin
• Are using it over a large area of the body or for a long duration
• Have any other skin condition not yet diagnosed

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT

• Other topical steroid creams or ointments used at the same time
• Other topical or systemic antibiotics
• Any other skin products applied to the same area
• Inform your doctor about all creams, ointments, and medicines you are using
