Uses and Benefits of GRAFTIN 50MG TABLET (CYCLOSPORINE 50MG.)
Cyclosporine is mainly used to prevent the body from rejecting a transplanted organ and to control certain autoimmune conditions where the immune system attacks the body's own tissues.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Preventing rejection after kidney, liver, heart or other organ transplants
- Severe active rheumatoid arthritis not controlled by other treatments
- Severe psoriasis where other treatments have not worked
- Nephrotic syndrome (a kidney disorder causing protein loss in urine)
- Certain severe cases of atopic dermatitis (eczema) under specialist care
HOW IT WORKS
- Suppresses specific immune cells (T-lymphocytes) that cause organ rejection or autoimmune tissue damage
- Reduces the immune system's ability to attack transplanted organs or the body's own tissues
- Does not cure the underlying disease but controls its activity
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for common infections or fevers
- Not a painkiller and not used for general joint pain
- Not used for mild skin conditions or minor allergies
- Not recommended for self-use without close medical supervision

How to Use GRAFTIN 50MG TABLET (CYCLOSPORINE 50MG.)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, at the same time(s) each day
- Take consistently either with food or without food, as advised, and stick to the same pattern every day
- Do not take with grapefruit or grapefruit juice as it can affect absorption
- Do not stop or change the dose without consulting your doctor, even if you feel well
- Regular blood tests may be needed to check drug levels, kidney function, and blood pressure
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
- If you miss doses frequently, inform your doctor as this can affect treatment success
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
- Keep in the original container/blister until ready to use

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
