Uses and Benefits of HYVISC PLUS INJECTION (HYALURONIC ACID 14MG)
Hyaluronic acid 14mg is mainly used to manage joint pain and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis, and in some formulations to lubricate dry eyes.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Relief of knee or other joint pain due to osteoarthritis
- Improving joint movement and reducing stiffness
- Lubricating the eye surface in dry eye conditions (in drop/gel form)
- Support during certain eye surgeries (specialised ophthalmic use)
HOW IT WORKS
- Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in joint fluid and eyes
- When injected into a joint, it adds cushioning and lubrication, reducing friction between bones
- In the eye, it forms a protective, moisturising film over the surface
- This helps reduce pain and improves comfort during movement or blinking
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It does not cure osteoarthritis or reverse joint damage
- It is not a substitute for pain-relief tablets for general body pain
- It is not used for infections or inflammation caused by bacteria
- It should not be used to treat eye infections
