Uses and Benefits of INTADERM-OC CREAM (Ofloxacin (0.75% w/w) + Ornidazole (2.0% w/w) + Itraconazole (1% w/w) + Clobetasol (0.05% w/w))

This medicine is commonly prescribed for mixed skin infections that show signs of bacterial, fungal, and inflammatory involvement together, such as chronic ringworm-like infections with itching, redness, and secondary infection.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Fungal skin infections with associated bacterial infection
• Itchy, inflamed, and infected patches of skin
• Chronic or resistant ringworm-type infections
• Skin conditions needing combined antifungal, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action

HOW IT WORKS

• Ofloxacin kills disease-causing bacteria on the skin
• Ornidazole acts against certain protozoa and anaerobic bacteria
• Itraconazole stops fungal growth by damaging the fungal cell membrane
• Clobetasol reduces redness, itching, and swelling by suppressing local inflammation

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Plain dry skin or eczema without infection
• Acne
• Viral skin infections like herpes or chickenpox rash
• Long-term daily use on face or sensitive skin areas
• Use in children without doctor's advice

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY

• Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face, lips, or throat
• Signs of skin thinning, stretch marks, or visible blood vessels
• Worsening of infection instead of improvement
• Signs of absorption into the body such as unusual fatigue, weight gain, or mood changes with long-term use
• Severe blistering or peeling of skin

How to Use INTADERM-OC CREAM (Ofloxacin (0.75% w/w) + Ornidazole (2.0% w/w) + Itraconazole (1% w/w) + Clobetasol (0.05% w/w))

HOW TO TAKE IT

• For external use on skin only, not to be taken by mouth
• Wash and dry the affected area before applying
• Apply a thin layer as advised by your doctor, usually once or twice a day
• Do not cover the area with airtight bandages unless your doctor tells you to
• Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the area being treated
• Use only for the duration prescribed; do not continue longer on your own
• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and open wounds

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Apply as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next application, skip the missed one
• Do not apply extra to make up for a missed dose

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep the tube tightly closed
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to Ofloxacin, Ornidazole, Itraconazole, Clobetasol, or any quinolone/steroid medicines
• Have a viral skin infection like chickenpox or herpes
• Have untreated skin tuberculosis or skin infection without proper diagnosis
• Are using it on broken skin, deep wounds, or ulcers without doctor's advice

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Are using it on a child
• Have thin or fragile skin, or a history of skin allergies
• Plan to use it on the face, groin, or armpits for a long time
• Have diabetes or a weakened immune system

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT

• Other steroid creams or ointments used at the same time
• Other topical antifungal or antibacterial products applied to the same area
• Oral medicines, since interactions are less likely with correct topical use, but inform your doctor about all medicines you take
