Uses and Benefits of LEXANOX PLUS PASTE (Amlexanox 50mg + Lidocaine 20mg)
This medicine is used for the local treatment of painful mouth ulcers, commonly known as canker sores or aphthous ulcers.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Treating recurrent mouth ulcers (aphthous ulcers)
- Reducing pain associated with mouth ulcers
- Speeding up the healing of mouth ulcers
HOW IT WORKS
- Amlexanox reduces inflammation and helps the ulcer heal faster by controlling the release of inflammatory substances in the tissue
- Lidocaine works as a local anaesthetic, numbing the area and providing quick relief from pain and discomfort
- Together, they help reduce both the size/duration of the ulcer and the pain felt while eating, drinking or speaking
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for cold sores caused by herpes virus
- Not used for bacterial or fungal mouth infections
- Not used for tooth pain or gum disease
- Not a substitute for treatment of underlying conditions causing recurrent ulcers, such as vitamin deficiency
- Not meant for long-term daily use without medical supervision

How to Use LEXANOX PLUS PASTE (Amlexanox 50mg + Lidocaine 20mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Use only on the skin/mucous membrane inside the mouth, as directed by your doctor
- Wash and dry your hands before application
- Apply a small amount of paste directly onto the ulcer using a clean fingertip or cotton swab
- Avoid eating, drinking or rinsing the mouth immediately after application to let the medicine act
- Do not swallow the paste
- Use it for the duration advised by your doctor, even if pain improves quickly
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Apply it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next application, skip the missed one
- Do not apply extra medicine to make up for a missed dose
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
- Keep the tube tightly closed
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
