Uses and Benefits of LOBATE GM NEO LOTION (CLOBETASOL (0.05% W/W) + MICONAZOLE (2% W/W) + NEOMYCIN (0.5% W/W))

This medicine is used to treat mixed skin infections that involve fungus, bacteria and inflammation together.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot and jock itch that are inflamed or itchy
• Skin infections with risk of secondary bacterial infection
• Eczema-like skin conditions complicated by fungal or bacterial growth

HOW IT WORKS

• Clobetasol is a potent corticosteroid that reduces redness, swelling and itching
• Miconazole kills or stops growth of fungi causing the infection
• Neomycin is an antibiotic that acts against bacteria that may infect the skin

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not for acne, plain dry skin, or cosmetic skin lightening
• Not for use on face, groin or underarms for long periods without doctor's advice
• Not for viral skin infections like chickenpox, herpes or cold sores
• Not for open wounds or deep skin injuries
• Not for use in children without doctor's supervision

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Burning or stinging at the application site
• Itching
• Dryness of skin
• Redness

LESS COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Thinning of skin with long-term use
• Skin discoloration
• Small visible blood vessels on skin
• Mild rash or irritation

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY

• Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face, lips or throat
• Signs of skin infection getting worse instead of better
• Severe skin thinning, stretch marks or easy bruising
• Hearing changes (very rare, linked to neomycin absorption)
• Signs of hormonal side effects like unusual weight gain or moon face with prolonged use

How to Use LOBATE GM NEO LOTION (CLOBETASOL (0.05% W/W) + MICONAZOLE (2% W/W) + NEOMYCIN (0.5% W/W))

HOW TO TAKE IT

• For external use on skin only, not for eyes, mouth or vaginal use unless specifically prescribed
• Wash and dry the affected area gently before applying
• Apply a thin layer as directed by your doctor, usually once or twice a day
• Do not cover the area with airtight bandages unless told to do so
• Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the treated area
• Do not use for longer than prescribed, especially on face or skin folds
• Complete the full course even if symptoms improve early

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Apply as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next application, skip the missed one
• Do not apply extra to make up for a missed dose

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
• Keep the tube tightly closed
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to clobetasol, miconazole, neomycin or any related ingredient
• Have a viral skin infection like chickenpox or herpes
• Have untreated bacterial or tubercular skin infection
• Have thin or damaged skin with open wounds

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Are using it on a child
• Have diabetes
• Plan to use it on large areas of the body or for a long duration
• Have a known history of skin allergies or sensitive skin

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT

• Other steroid creams or oral steroids used at the same time
• Other antifungal or antibiotic skin products applied to the same area
• Blood thinners, if used with neomycin over broken skin (increases absorption risk)
