This medicine is used to treat fungal skin infections associated with inflammation and itching.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot, and jock itch with marked inflammation
- Itchy, red, inflamed skin caused by fungal infections
- Short-term relief of severe itching and swelling linked to skin fungal disease
HOW IT WORKS
- Clobetasol is a strong corticosteroid that reduces redness, swelling, and itching by suppressing the local immune response
- Miconazole is an antifungal that kills or stops the growth of fungi causing the infection
- Together they relieve symptoms quickly while treating the underlying infection
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Plain fungal infections without inflammation, where a simple antifungal alone is preferred
- Bacterial or viral skin infections
- Acne, rosacea, or long-term daily use on normal skin
- Use on the face, groin, or armpits for prolonged periods without medical advice

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Burning or stinging at the application site
- Itching or mild irritation
- Dryness of the skin
LESS COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Thinning of the skin with prolonged use
- Change in skin colour at the applied area
- Increased hair growth on the treated area
- Small visible blood vessels on the skin
SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY
- Severe allergic reaction with rash, swelling of face or throat, or difficulty breathing
- Signs of skin infection getting worse instead of better
- Stretch marks, severe thinning, or ulceration of skin with long-term use
- Signs of the steroid being absorbed into the body such as unusual weight gain, high blood sugar, or mood changes

How to Use LOBATE-M SKIN CREAM (CLOBETASOL (0.05% W/W) + MICONAZOLE (2% W/W))
HOW TO TAKE IT
- For external use on the skin only, as prescribed by your doctor
- Wash and dry the affected area before applying
- Apply a thin layer and gently rub in, usually once or twice a day as directed
- Wash your hands after application unless the hands are the area being treated
- Do not cover the area with a tight bandage unless your doctor tells you to
- Use for the exact duration advised; do not stop early or continue beyond the advised period
- Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and open wounds
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Apply as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next application, skip the missed one and continue as usual
- Do not apply extra to make up for a missed dose
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
- Keep the tube tightly closed
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to clobetasol, miconazole, or any other ingredient in the product
- Have a viral skin infection such as chickenpox or herpes on the area
- Have untreated bacterial skin infection at the site
TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Plan to use it on a child, face, groin, or skin folds
- Have thin or fragile skin, or a history of skin thinning
- Have diabetes or a weakened immune system
- Need to use it for a large area of the body or for a long time
MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT
- Other topical steroids or antifungals used at the same time
- Oral or injectable corticosteroids, as combined steroid exposure may increase side effects
- Any other skin products applied to the same area without your doctor's knowledge
