This medicine is mainly used for chronic, scaly skin conditions where the skin has become thick and hardened.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Psoriasis with thick scaly plaques
- Chronic hand and foot eczema with scaling
- Other hyperkeratotic (thick skin) disorders as advised by your doctor
- Corns, calluses and thickened patches of skin in some cases
HOW IT WORKS
- Clobetasol is a potent corticosteroid that reduces redness, itching and inflammation
- Salicylic acid and lactic acid are keratolytics that break down and remove thick, dead skin cells
- Urea acts as a moisturiser, softening hard skin and improving hydration
- Together they help thin down plaques and allow better skin healing
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Acne
- Fungal infections of the skin
- Open wounds, ulcers or infected skin
- Everyday moisturising of normal skin
- Use on face, groin or underarms without doctor's advice

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Mild burning or stinging on application
- Dryness or peeling of treated skin
- Itching or redness at the site
LESS COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Thinning of the skin with prolonged use
- Small visible blood vessels on skin
- Changes in skin colour at the applied area
- Increased sensitivity to sunlight
SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY
- Severe allergic reaction with swelling, rash or difficulty breathing
- Signs of skin infection such as pus, increasing pain or fever
- Excessive absorption causing symptoms like unusual tiredness, weight gain or mood changes (rare, with overuse on large areas)
- Stretch marks or severe skin thinning
- Worsening of the original skin condition

How to Use LOBATE-S SKIN CREAM (CLOBETASOL (0.05% W/W) + SALICYLIC ACID (3% W/W) + LACTIC ACID (3% W/W) + UREA (10% W/W))
HOW TO TAKE IT
- For external use only; do not swallow
- Wash and dry the affected area before applying
- Apply a thin layer only on the affected skin as prescribed by your doctor
- Gently rub in until absorbed; avoid healthy surrounding skin
- Wash your hands after applying unless hands are the treated area
- Do not cover with airtight bandages unless your doctor advises this
- Use only for the duration prescribed; do not use for longer than advised
- Avoid applying on face, eyes, mouth, groin or broken skin unless specifically instructed
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Apply as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next application, skip the missed one
- Do not apply extra or double amount to make up for a missed dose
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
- Keep the tube tightly closed
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to clobetasol, salicylic acid, lactic acid, urea or any other ingredient
- Have a skin infection (bacterial, fungal or viral) at the application site
- Have thin, damaged or broken skin at the site, unless advised otherwise
- Are using it on a child without doctor's approval
TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU
- Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
- Have diabetes, as absorption can occasionally affect blood sugar
- Have widespread skin disease requiring use over large body areas
- Are already using other steroid creams or medicines
- Have a history of skin thinning or stretch marks from steroid use
MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT
- Other topical steroids used at the same time
- Other keratolytic or exfoliating products, which may increase irritation
- Oral or injectable steroids, which may increase overall steroid effect if used together

Can I use this on my face?
Generally not recommended unless your doctor specifically prescribes it, as facial skin is thinner and more sensitive to steroids.
How long can I use this cream?
