This medicine is mainly used for the treatment of melasma and other forms of skin hyperpigmentation.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Melasma (dark patches on face, usually due to hormonal changes or sun exposure)
• Other localized areas of skin darkening or hyperpigmentation
• Short-term use to even out skin tone in specific patches

HOW IT WORKS

• Hydroquinone reduces the production of melanin, the pigment responsible for skin colour
• Tretinoin increases skin cell turnover, helping fade pigmentation faster and improving how the other ingredients penetrate
• Mometasone, a steroid, reduces skin irritation and inflammation caused by the other two ingredients

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not for treating acne alone
• Not for treating fungal or bacterial skin infections
• Not for long-term daily use on normal skin
• Not to be used as a general fairness or skin-lightening cream all over the body

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face, lips, or throat
• Blistering, oozing, or severe skin breakdown
• Signs of skin infection such as pus or increasing pain
• Permanent skin discolouration (ochronosis) with long-term use

HOW TO TAKE IT

• For external use only, on the skin
• Apply a thin layer to the affected area only, usually once daily at night, or as advised by your doctor
• Wash and dry the area gently before applying
• Avoid applying near eyes, lips, nostrils, or on broken or irritated skin
• Use sunscreen and avoid excessive sun exposure during treatment
• Do not use more than the prescribed amount or for longer than advised

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Just apply it at the next scheduled time
• Do not apply extra cream to make up for a missed application

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
• Keep the tube tightly closed
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
