Cholecalciferol is mainly used to treat and prevent vitamin D deficiency, which can lead to weak bones, muscle weakness and other health problems.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Treating low vitamin D levels confirmed by blood tests
- Preventing and treating rickets in children
- Treating osteomalacia (softening of bones) in adults
- Supporting treatment of osteoporosis along with calcium
- Helping people with limited sun exposure or poor dietary intake
HOW IT WORKS
- Vitamin D3 is converted in the liver and kidneys to its active form
- The active form helps the intestines absorb calcium and phosphorus from food
- This supports normal bone mineralisation and muscle function
- Adequate vitamin D also supports immune function
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not a painkiller and does not treat joint pain directly
- It does not treat infections
- It is not a substitute for calcium if calcium intake is also low

How to Use LUPI-D3 SACHET (CHOLECALCIFEROL VITAMIN D3.)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, in the dose and frequency advised
- It can be taken with or after food, preferably with a meal containing some fat for better absorption
- Swallow tablets or capsules with water; sachets can be mixed with food as directed
- Do not increase the dose or frequency on your own
- Continue for the full duration advised, even if you feel well
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- If your dose is daily, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for the next dose
- If your dose is weekly or monthly, contact your doctor or pharmacist for guidance rather than doubling up
- Never take two doses together to make up for a missed one

- Store at room temperature, away from direct heat, light and moisture
- Keep out of reach of children
- Check the expiry date before use

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Have known high blood calcium levels (hypercalcemia)
- Have a condition causing excess vitamin D in the body
- Are allergic to cholecalciferol or any ingredient in the product
- Have severe kidney stones related to calcium
