This medicine is commonly prescribed for cough associated with breathing difficulty where mucus is thick and hard to clear, often seen in conditions like bronchitis, asthma and other respiratory tract infections.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Relief of productive cough with mucus
- Cough associated with wheezing or breathlessness
- Symptomatic relief in bronchitis and similar airway conditions
HOW IT WORKS
- Ambroxol thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to cough out
- Guaiphenesin increases fluid in the airways, further loosening thick mucus
- Levosalbutamol relaxes the muscles around the airways, widening them and easing breathing
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Dry cough without mucus
- Cough due to common cold alone without breathing difficulty
- Long-term control of asthma (it does not replace regular asthma preventer medicines)
- Cough in very young children unless specifically advised by a doctor

How to Use MACBERY LS Syrup (Ambroxol 30mg + Levosalbutamol 1mg + Guaiphenesin 50mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually two to three times a day
- Can be taken with or after food to reduce stomach upset
- If using a syrup, use the measuring cup provided, not a household spoon
- Shake the syrup bottle well before use
- Drink plenty of water while on this medicine to help loosen mucus further
- Do not increase the dose or take it for longer than advised
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep the syrup bottle tightly closed
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

- Diuretics (water pills), due to effects on potassium levels
