WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Relief of productive cough with mucus
• Cough associated with wheezing or breathlessness
• Symptomatic relief in bronchitis and similar airway conditions

HOW IT WORKS

• Ambroxol thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to cough out
• Guaiphenesin increases fluid in the airways, further loosening thick mucus
• Levosalbutamol relaxes the muscles around the airways, widening them and easing breathing

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Dry cough without mucus
• Cough due to common cold alone without breathing difficulty
• Long-term control of asthma (it does not replace regular asthma preventer medicines)

How to Use MACBERY LS Syrup (Ambroxol 30mg + Levosalbutamol 1mg + Guaiphenesin 50mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually two to three times a day
• Can be taken with or after food to reduce stomach upset
• If using a syrup, use the measuring cup provided, not a household spoon
• Shake the syrup bottle well before use
• Drink plenty of water while on this medicine to help loosen mucus further
• Do not increase the dose or take it for longer than advised

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

• Beta-blockers used for heart conditions or blood pressure

• Diuretics (water pills), due to effects on potassium levels
• Other bronchodilator inhalers or medicines for asthma
• MAO inhibitors or antidepressants, in rare cases
