WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Serious infections of the lower respiratory tract such as pneumonia
• Complicated urinary tract infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Intra-abdominal infections
• Infections in patients with weak immunity, including certain fevers with low blood counts
• Other bacterial infections as decided by your doctor

HOW IT WORKS

• Cefepime kills bacteria by stopping them from building their protective cell wall
• Tazobactam blocks an enzyme called beta-lactamase that some bacteria produce to destroy antibiotics
• Together they help overcome bacterial resistance and increase effectiveness against tough infections

HOW TO TAKE IT

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
