This medicine is used to treat raised pressure inside the eye, seen in conditions like open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Lowering high intraocular (eye) pressure
• Managing open-angle glaucoma
• Managing ocular hypertension
• Used when a single eye pressure-lowering drop is not enough

HOW IT WORKS

• Brinzolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that reduces fluid production inside the eye
• Brimonidine is an alpha-2 agonist that both reduces fluid production and improves fluid drainage from the eye
• Together they lower eye pressure more effectively than either alone

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for eye infections
• Not used for allergic conjunctivitis or red, itchy eyes from allergy
• Not a treatment for eye injuries or dry eyes
• Not meant for sudden vision loss or eye pain of unknown cause
• Not a substitute for regular eye check-ups in glaucoma

• Irregular heartbeat, chest pain, or fainting
• Severe dizziness or fatigue

How to Use MAXBRIM EYE DROP (Brinzolamide (1% w/v) + Brimonidine (0.2% w/v))

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Use only in the eye(s), as prescribed by your doctor
• Wash hands before use
• Tilt head back, pull down the lower eyelid, and place the drop inside
• Press gently on the inner corner of the eye for a minute after applying to reduce absorption into the body
• Do not touch the dropper tip to your eye or any surface
• If using other eye drops, wait at least 5-10 minutes between different drops
• Do not rub your eyes after applying

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Apply it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not use a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store as directed on the label, usually at room temperature away from heat and direct sunlight
• Keep the bottle tightly closed
• Keep out of reach of children
• Discard the bottle after the labelled period once opened, even if some medicine remains

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to brinzolamide, brimonidine, sulfonamides, or any ingredient in the drops

• Have severe kidney disease (brinzolamide may not be suitable)
