Uses and Benefits of MOMOZ CREAM (Mometasone 0.1%)
Mometasone 0.1% is mainly used to treat inflammatory skin conditions and allergic nasal symptoms.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Eczema and dermatitis
- Psoriasis (skin patches)
- Allergic skin rashes and itching
- Insect bite reactions
- Allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny/blocked nose, itching due to allergies)
HOW IT WORKS
- It is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation by acting on the immune response in the skin or nasal lining
- It decreases redness, swelling, itching and irritation
- It does not treat the underlying cause of allergy but controls the symptoms
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for bacterial, fungal or viral skin infections unless combined with another specific medicine for that purpose
- Not a treatment for acne
- Not meant for long-term daily use on large areas of the body
- Not used to treat common cold without allergic component

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Burning or stinging at the site of application
- Itching
- Dryness of skin or nose
- Nasal irritation or nosebleed (with nasal spray)
LESS COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Thinning of skin with prolonged use
- Skin discoloration
- Acne-like eruptions
- Unwanted hair growth at application site
- Sore throat or headache (with nasal spray)
SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY
- Signs of allergic reaction such as swelling of face, lips, throat or difficulty breathing
- Severe skin thinning, stretch marks, or visible blood vessels
- Signs of infection at the application site (increased redness, pus, pain)
- Vision changes, eye pain (if used near eyes)
- Signs of hormonal imbalance with prolonged use, such as unusual weight gain or fatigue

How to Use MOMOZ CREAM (Mometasone 0.1%)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Use exactly as prescribed by your doctor, in the strength and frequency advised
- For skin use: apply a thin layer to the affected area only, gently rub in
- Wash your hands before and after applying, unless hands are the treated area
- For nasal spray: shake well, tilt head slightly forward, spray into each nostril as directed, avoid spraying directly on the nasal septum
- Do not use on broken skin, near eyes, or on the face for long periods unless specifically advised
- Do not cover the treated skin area with bandages unless your doctor tells you to
- Do not use more often or for longer than prescribed
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Apply or spray as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue as scheduled
- Do not double the amount to make up for a missed dose
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
- Keep the cap tightly closed
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to mometasone or any other corticosteroid
- Have an untreated skin infection (bacterial, fungal or viral) at the site
- Have had recent nasal surgery or nasal injury (for nasal spray, unless doctor approves)
TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Are using it on a child
- Have thin or fragile skin
- Have diabetes or a weakened immune system
- Are using other steroid medicines (oral, inhaled, or topical)
- Have had recent vaccinations
MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT
- Other topical or systemic corticosteroids
- Medicines that affect the immune system
- Certain antifungal or antiviral drugs when used together on skin
- Always inform your doctor about all medicines, supplements, and other creams you are using
