This medicine is used for treating bacterial infections of the eye that are accompanied by inflammation.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Bacterial conjunctivitis with inflammation
- Post-operative eye inflammation and infection prevention
- Infections of the outer eye where both infection control and inflammation reduction are needed
HOW IT WORKS
- Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic that kills or stops the growth of bacteria causing the infection
- Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid that reduces swelling, redness, and inflammation in the eye
- Together they treat the infection while easing the associated discomfort and inflammation faster
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Viral eye infections such as those causing common eye redness from cold or flu
- Fungal eye infections
- Untreated or undiagnosed red eye without doctor evaluation
- Regular use to prevent eye infections without medical need

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Temporary burning or stinging after applying the drop
- Mild eye irritation
- Watering of the eyes
- Blurred vision for a short time after application

- Headache

- Severe eye pain or worsening redness
- Sudden decrease in vision
- Signs of increased eye pressure such as halos around lights or eye ache
- Signs of allergic reaction such as swelling of eyelids, face, or difficulty breathing
- Development of a new eye infection during prolonged use

How to Use MOXIBLU -D 0.005 (MOXIFLOXACIN 0.5% W/V + DEXAMETHASONE 0.1% W/V)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Use only in the eye, exactly as prescribed by your doctor
- Wash your hands before use
- Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid gently, and place the prescribed number of drops inside
- Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any surface to prevent contamination
- Close your eye gently for a minute after applying and press lightly at the inner corner
- If using other eye drops, wait at least 5-10 minutes between different medicines
- Do not stop the course early even if symptoms improve, unless advised by your doctor
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue as scheduled
- Do not apply extra drops to make up for a missed dose
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
- Keep the cap tightly closed when not in use
- Discard the bottle after the advised period once opened, usually within four weeks, as instructed by your pharmacist
- Keep out of reach of children

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to moxifloxacin, dexamethasone, or any fluoroquinolone antibiotics
- Have a viral, fungal, or tubercular eye infection

- Have glaucoma or high eye pressure
- Have a history of herpes eye infection
- Wear contact lenses
