Uses and Benefits of NEXPRO JR Sachets (Esomeprazole 10mg)
Esomeprazole is used to treat conditions caused by excess stomach acid.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Acid reflux (GERD) and heartburn
- Stomach and duodenal ulcers
- Prevention of ulcers caused by long-term use of certain pain-relief medicines
- Conditions where the stomach makes too much acid
- As part of treatment to clear certain stomach infections, along with antibiotics
HOW IT WORKS
- It blocks a pump in the stomach lining that produces acid
- This lowers the overall acid level in the stomach
- Reduced acid allows irritated areas of the food pipe or stomach to heal
- It also helps relieve symptoms like burning sensation and discomfort
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not a painkiller and does not treat general body pain
- It does not treat infections on its own without prescribed antibiotics
- It is not meant for occasional, mild indigestion unless advised by a doctor
- It should not be used as a substitute for lifestyle changes like diet control

- Signs of allergic reaction such as swelling of face, lips, or throat, and difficulty breathing
- Severe skin rash, blistering, or peeling
- Yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine (signs of liver problems)
- Irregular heartbeat, muscle spasms, or severe weakness (signs of low magnesium)
- Severe stomach pain

How to Use NEXPRO JR Sachets (Esomeprazole 10mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
- Usually taken once daily, at least half an hour before a meal
- Swallow the tablet or capsule whole with water; do not chew or crush unless your doctor says it is safe to do so
- Try to take it at the same time each day
- Do not stop the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better
- Continue for the full duration advised, especially if being used for ulcers or infections
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose
- Do not take double the dose to make up for a missed one
- If you frequently forget doses, ask your pharmacist about reminder tips
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep in the original packaging until use
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use beyond the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
