Nimesulide 75mg is used to treat pain and inflammation associated with various conditions, particularly musculoskeletal disorders and acute injuries.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Relief of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis
- Management of menstrual (period) pain
- Relief of acute pain, such as after minor surgery or injury
- Reduction of fever in short-term use
HOW IT WORKS
- Nimesulide blocks the enzyme cyclo-oxygenase (COX), reducing the production of prostaglandins
- Prostaglandins are chemicals in the body responsible for causing pain, inflammation, and fever
- By lowering these levels, nimesulide helps reduce pain, swelling, and fever
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for chronic long-term pain management due to safety concerns
- Not a treatment for infections or the underlying cause of pain

HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take nimesulide exactly as prescribed by your doctor
