Uses and Benefits of OSMODROPS EYE DROP (Carboxymethyl Cellulose 0.5%w/v)
This medicine is used mainly to treat dry eyes and related discomfort caused by reduced tear production or poor tear quality.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Relief of dry, itchy, or gritty eyes
- Eye discomfort due to reduced blinking (e.g. long screen use)
- Irritation caused by wind, dust, smoke, or air conditioning
- Temporary relief after eye examinations or minor eye irritation
- Dryness caused by use of contact lenses
HOW IT WORKS
- Forms a thin protective film over the surface of the eye
- Helps retain moisture and reduces evaporation of natural tears
- Lubricates the eye surface to reduce friction during blinking
- Soothes irritation caused by dryness
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used to treat eye infections
- Not used to treat allergic conjunctivitis needing anti-allergic medicine
- Not a treatment for glaucoma or eye pressure problems

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

- Signs of allergic reaction such as swelling of eyelids, severe itching, or rash
- Increasing redness or discharge from the eye suggesting infection

How to Use OSMODROPS EYE DROP (Carboxymethyl Cellulose 0.5%w/v)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Wash your hands before use
- Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid
- Apply the prescribed number of drops into the eye(s) as advised by your doctor
- Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any surface
- Close your eyes gently for a minute after applying to help the drop spread
- If using with other eye drops, wait at least 5-10 minutes between different drops
- Remove contact lenses before applying unless your doctor says otherwise
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
- Do not apply extra drops to make up for a missed dose
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat
- Keep the cap tightly closed when not in use
- Discard the bottle after the recommended period once opened, as advised on the label
- Keep out of reach of children
