HOW IT WORKS

• Cefoperazone is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by damaging their cell wall
• Sulbactam blocks bacterial enzymes that would otherwise destroy cefoperazone
• Together they widen the range of bacteria the medicine can treat
• This combination is especially useful against bacteria that have become resistant to plain antibiotics

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Viral infections such as common cold, flu, or most sore throats
• Fungal infections
