Uses and Benefits of RAIKI EYE DROP (Netarsudil (0.02% w/v))
Netarsudil is used to treat raised pressure inside the eye, a condition seen in open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Lowering high intraocular pressure (IOP)
- Managing open-angle glaucoma
- Managing ocular hypertension
- Used alone or along with other eye pressure–lowering drops
HOW IT WORKS
- Belongs to a class called Rho kinase (ROCK) inhibitors
- Increases outflow of the fluid (aqueous humour) from the eye through its natural drainage pathway
- Reduces resistance in the eye's drainage tissue, lowering eye pressure
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for eye infections
- Not used for eye redness caused by allergy or irritation
- Not used for pain relief in the eye
- Not a treatment for cataract or other structural eye problems
- Not suitable for angle-closure glaucoma emergencies
Side Effects of RAIKI EYE DROP (Netarsudil (0.02% w/v))
COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Redness of the eye (conjunctival hyperaemia)
- Mild stinging or burning after applying the drop
- Small deposits on the cornea (usually harmless)
LESS COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Tearing or watery eyes
- Blurred vision for a short time after use
- Small bleeding spots on the white of the eye
- Itching or eye discomfort
- Headache
SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY
- Severe eye pain or sudden vision loss
- Signs of eye infection like discharge, swelling, or worsening redness
- Severe allergic reaction with eyelid swelling, breathing difficulty, or rash
- Persistent or worsening blurred vision

How to Use RAIKI EYE DROP (Netarsudil (0.02% w/v))
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Wash your hands before using the drop
- Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a small pocket
- Instil one drop into the affected eye(s) as prescribed, usually once daily in the evening
- Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any surface
- If using other eye drops, wait at least 5 minutes between each
- Remove contact lenses before applying and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Apply it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not use two drops at the same time to make up for a missed dose
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat
- Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use
- Discard the bottle after the period advised on the label once opened
- Keep out of reach of children

Can I use this drop with other glaucoma medicines?
Yes, it can often be combined with other eye pressure–lowering drops, but leave a gap of a few minutes between each and follow your doctor's instructions.
Will my eyes stay red the whole time I use this?
Mild redness is common and usually improves with continued use, but if it is severe or worsening, contact your doctor.
Can I wear contact lenses while using this drop?
