This combination medicine is mainly used to control high blood pressure, especially when a single medicine is not enough to keep it in a healthy range.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Treating high blood pressure (hypertension)
- Reducing the workload on the heart in patients who need both types of blood pressure control
- Long-term management of blood pressure to lower risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney problems
HOW IT WORKS
- Telmisartan blocks a chemical called angiotensin II, which relaxes and widens blood vessels
- Bisoprolol is a beta-blocker that slows the heart rate and reduces the force of heart contractions
- Together they lower blood pressure more effectively than either medicine alone
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not a painkiller or fever medicine
- Not for immediate relief of a hypertensive emergency
- Not a treatment for infections

How to Use Sartel Biso 2.5mg Tablets (Telmisartan 40mg + Bisoprolol 2.5mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
- Try to take it at the same time every day to maintain steady levels in the body
- Can be taken with or without food
- Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
- Do not stop taking suddenly, especially the beta-blocker part, without doctor's advice as this can cause a rebound rise in heart rate or blood pressure
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as normal
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep in original packaging until ready to use
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
