How to Use Semawin 1.7mg Pen (Semaglutide 6.8mg/3ml)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• This medicine is given as an injection under the skin (subcutaneous), usually once a week, on the same day each week
• It can be injected into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm, as shown by your doctor or nurse
• The injection can be taken with or without food
• Do not inject into a vein or muscle
• Rotate the injection site each time to avoid skin problems
• Use exactly as prescribed; do not change the dose on your own

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• If it has been less than a few days since your missed dose, take it as soon as you remember
• If it is close to your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule
• Do not take two doses close together to make up for a missed one
• Contact your doctor if you are unsure what to do

STORAGE

• Store in a refrigerator, away from direct contact with the freezer compartment
• Once in use, may be kept as directed on the pack, away from heat and light
• Keep the pen or vial capped when not in use

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Have Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2

• Are breastfeeding
