This composition is mainly used to treat dry eye disease and related eye discomfort.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Relief of dry, irritated or gritty eyes
• Dryness caused by prolonged screen use, wind, air conditioning or contact lens wear
• Discomfort after eye surgery, as advised by your doctor
• Symptomatic relief in conditions like Sjogren's syndrome affecting the eyes

HOW IT WORKS

• Sodium hyaluronate holds water on the eye's surface, forming a thin lubricating film
• This film reduces friction between the eyelid and eyeball, easing irritation
• It helps stabilise the tear film and keeps the eye surface moist for longer

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It does not treat eye infections such as conjunctivitis
• It does not treat eye allergies, redness due to infection, or glaucoma
• It is not a substitute for antibiotic or antiviral eye drops
• It does not correct underlying causes of dry eye such as vitamin deficiency or systemic disease

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Persistent redness or discharge suggesting infection

How to Use SOFTVISC ULTRA EYE DROP (Sodium Hyaluronate (0.3%)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Use only in the eye(s), as prescribed by your doctor
• Wash your hands before use
• Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid, and instil the drop without touching the dropper tip to the eye or eyelid
• Close your eyes gently for a minute after applying
• If using with other eye drops, wait at least 5-10 minutes between different drops
• Remove contact lenses before use unless your doctor says otherwise
• Do not rub your eyes after application

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Apply it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
• Do not apply extra drops to make up for a missed dose

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat
• Keep the cap tightly closed when not in use
• Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface to avoid contamination
• Discard the bottle after the period mentioned on the label once opened, usually within 4 weeks
• Keep out of reach of children
