HOW IT WORKS

• Cefotaxime is a cephalosporin antibiotic that stops bacteria from building their protective cell wall, causing them to die
• Sulbactam blocks bacterial enzymes called beta-lactamases that would otherwise destroy cefotaxime
• Together they increase the effectiveness of the antibiotic against resistant bacteria
