Uses and Benefits of TELSAR BISO 5mg Tablets (Telmisartan 40mg + Bisoprolol 5mg)
This combination medicine is mainly used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), especially in patients who need both an ARB and a beta-blocker to control their blood pressure effectively.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Long-term control of high blood pressure
- Reducing the workload on the heart in certain heart conditions
- Used when a single blood pressure medicine is not enough to control levels
HOW IT WORKS

- Bisoprolol blocks the effect of adrenaline on the heart, slowing the heart rate and reducing the force of each heartbeat
- Together, they lower blood pressure and reduce strain on the heart
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for immediate relief of a hypertensive emergency
- Not a painkiller and does not treat chest pain directly
- Not recommended for use during pregnancy
