WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Lowering elevated intraocular pressure in open-angle glaucoma

• Long-term control of eye pressure to protect vision

HOW IT WORKS

• Timolol is a beta-blocker that reduces the amount of fluid (aqueous humour) produced inside the eye
• Travoprost is a prostaglandin analogue that increases the outflow of this fluid from the eye
• Together they lower eye pressure more effectively than either medicine alone

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for eye infections, redness due to allergy, or dry eyes
• Not a treatment for cataract or refractive errors like myopia
• Not meant for sudden, painful vision loss — this needs emergency care
• Not used in angle-closure glaucoma unless specifically advised by an eye specialist

How to Use TRAVISIGHT T EYE DROP (Timolol (5mg) + Travoprost (40mcg))

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Wash your hands before using the eye drops
• Tilt your head back slightly and pull down the lower eyelid to form a small pocket
• Instil the prescribed number of drops into the eye without touching the dropper tip to the eye or eyelid
• Close your eye gently for a minute and press lightly at the inner corner to reduce drainage into the nose
• Use at the same time each day, usually in the evening, as advised by your doctor
• If using other eye drops too, wait at least 5 minutes between different drops

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Apply the missed drop as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as normal
• Do not use two doses together to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store as directed on the pack, usually below 25°C, away from direct sunlight
• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use
• Discard the bottle after the period mentioned on the label once opened
• Keep out of reach of children

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
