WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

HOW IT WORKS

• Brinzolamide reduces the production of fluid (aqueous humour) inside the eye
• Brimonidine reduces fluid production and also increases its outflow from the eye
• Timolol, a beta-blocker, further decreases the amount of fluid the eye makes
• Together, these three actions bring down eye pressure more effectively than one medicine alone

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for eye infections or redness caused by allergy
• Not a treatment for cataract
• Not meant for general eye irritation or dryness
• Not used to correct vision problems like short-sightedness

How to Use TRIOPTIC EYE DROP (Brinzolamide (10mg) + Brimonidine (2mg) + Timolol (5mg))

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Use only in the eye(s) as directed by your doctor
• Wash your hands before using the drop
• Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid, and place one drop inside
• Close your eye gently for a minute and press lightly at the inner corner near the nose to reduce absorption into the body
• Do not touch the dropper tip to your eye or any surface
• If you use other eye drops, wait at least 5-10 minutes between different drops
• Do not stop using it suddenly without talking to your doctor, even if your eyes feel fine

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Use it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not use a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store as per the instructions on the pack, usually below 25°C, away from direct sunlight
• Keep the cap tightly closed when not in use
• Do not use after the bottle has been opened for more than the period mentioned on the label
