WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Long-term control of high blood pressure
• Reducing risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney problems linked to uncontrolled blood pressure
• Use in patients whose blood pressure is not controlled by a single blood pressure medicine

HOW IT WORKS

• Telmisartan blocks a hormone (angiotensin II) that narrows blood vessels, helping vessels relax
• Amlodipine relaxes and widens blood vessels by blocking calcium channels, easing blood flow
• Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that helps the kidneys remove extra salt and water, lowering blood volume
• Together, these three actions lower blood pressure more effectively than one medicine alone

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not for emergency treatment of very high blood pressure (hypertensive crisis)

HOW TO TAKE IT
