This medicine is mainly used to relieve cough that occurs along with wheezing or breathlessness due to narrowed and mucus-filled airways.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Cough with thick mucus (productive cough)
- Cough associated with wheezing or breathlessness
- Bronchitis, bronchial asthma and other conditions where airways are narrowed and clogged with mucus
- Helping clear chest congestion
HOW IT WORKS
- Ambroxol thins and loosens thick mucus so it can be coughed out more easily
- Guaiphenesin increases fluid in the airways, making mucus less sticky and easier to clear
- Terbutaline relaxes the muscles around the airways, widening them so air can flow more freely
- Together they make coughing more effective and breathing easier

- Dry cough without mucus
- Cough due to allergy alone without airway narrowing

HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, in the dose and frequency advised
- Usually taken after food to reduce stomach upset
- If using the syrup, use the measuring cup provided, not a regular spoon
- Shake the syrup well before use if instructed on the label
- Do not increase the dose or take it more often than prescribed
- Complete the course as advised, even if cough improves
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
- Try to take doses at the same times each day for best effect
