This medicine is used to treat lower urinary tract symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia) that occur along with an overactive bladder.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Difficulty in urination due to enlarged prostate
• Frequent urge to urinate, including at night
• Sudden strong urge to urinate that is hard to control
• Incomplete emptying of the bladder

HOW IT WORKS

• Tamsulosin relaxes the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to pass urine
• Solifenacin relaxes the bladder muscle, reducing urgency, frequency, and involuntary contractions
• Together they improve both urine flow and bladder storage symptoms

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used to treat prostate cancer
• Not used to treat urinary tract infections
• Not a treatment for kidney stones

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily

• Swallow the capsule/tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew
