Uses and Benefits of VIBOLIV INJECTION (METADOXINE 300MG)
Metadoxine 300mg is mainly used in the treatment of alcohol-related liver disease and alcohol intoxication or dependence.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Acute alcohol intoxication
- Chronic and acute alcoholic liver disease, including fatty liver caused by alcohol
- As part of treatment support for alcohol dependence and withdrawal
- Helping improve liver enzyme levels affected by alcohol use
HOW IT WORKS
- Speeds up the breakdown and removal of alcohol (ethanol) and acetaldehyde from the body
- Helps restore liver cell function and reduces fat build-up in the liver caused by alcohol
- Helps reduce oxidative stress on liver cells caused by alcohol metabolism
- Supports faster recovery from symptoms of acute alcohol intoxication
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not a cure for alcohol addiction on its own and does not replace counselling or de-addiction therapy
- It is not used for viral hepatitis or liver disease unrelated to alcohol
- It is not a general painkiller, antibiotic, or vitamin supplement
- It should not be used to allow continued heavy drinking thinking it will fully protect the liver

- Difficulty breathing
- Severe skin rash, blistering, or peeling
- Yellowing of eyes or skin (jaundice) worsening
- Signs of severe stomach bleeding such as black stools or vomiting blood

How to Use VIBOLIV INJECTION (METADOXINE 300MG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor, in terms of dose, frequency, and duration
- It can be taken with or without food, unless your doctor advises otherwise
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water; do not crush or chew unless instructed
- If given as an injection, it will be administered by a healthcare professional
- Do not stop the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, especially if being used for alcohol dependence support
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep out of reach and sight of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
- Discard any unused injection solution as directed by your pharmacist
