This medicine is used to relieve pain and inflammation affecting muscles, joints and soft tissues.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Back pain
- Muscle sprains and strains
- Joint pain due to arthritis
- Sports injuries and stiffness
- Minor swelling around joints and muscles
HOW IT WORKS
- Diclofenac reduces pain-causing chemicals (prostaglandins) at the site of application
- Methyl salicylate and menthol give a warming/cooling sensation that soothes pain
- Linseed oil helps soothe and moisturise the skin, easing application
- Together they provide local pain relief without needing to swallow a tablet
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not for internal pain like stomach ache or headache
- Not a treatment for infections or fever
- Not meant for open wounds or broken skin
- Not a substitute for oral medicines in severe pain conditions

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Mild burning or stinging at the site
- Redness of the skin
- Itching
- A cooling or warming sensation after application
LESS COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Skin dryness or peeling
- Rash near the applied area
- Mild irritation if applied on sensitive skin
SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY
- Severe skin blistering or peeling
- Swelling of face, lips or throat
- Difficulty breathing
- Severe allergic reaction (hives, itching all over body)
- Signs of skin infection at application site

How to Use VOVILUP-P GEL (DICLOFENAC DIETHYLAMINE 1.16% W/W + LINSEED OIL 3% W/W + METHYL SALICYLATE 10% W/W + MENTHOL 5% W/W)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- For external use only, apply on skin, not to be swallowed
- Apply a thin layer over the painful area and gently massage as prescribed by your doctor
- Wash your hands after application unless hands are the treated area
- Do not apply on broken skin, wounds, eyes or mucous membranes
- Do not cover the area with an airtight bandage unless told by your doctor
- Use only as often as your doctor recommends
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Apply it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next application, skip the missed one
- Do not apply extra to make up for a missed dose
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat
- Keep the cap tightly closed
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to diclofenac, aspirin-like medicines, or any ingredient in this product
- Have open wounds, cuts or infected skin at the site
- Are in the last trimester of pregnancy without doctor's advice
TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have asthma or a history of allergic reactions to pain relievers
- Have sensitive or broken skin
- Are using other pain-relief creams or oral painkillers
- Are a child, since use in children should be doctor-guided
MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT
- Other topical or oral NSAIDs (may increase side effects)
- Blood thinners, if large areas of skin are treated regularly
- Other skin products applied on the same area
