Uses and Benefits of ZENOTERE 20MG INJECTION (DOCETAXEL ANHYDROUS+POLYSORBATE)
Docetaxel Anhydrous with Polysorbate is used mainly to treat cancer.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Breast cancer, including cases that have spread to other parts of the body
- Non-small cell lung cancer
- Prostate cancer
- Stomach (gastric) cancer
- Head and neck cancer
- Sometimes used along with other chemotherapy medicines
HOW IT WORKS
- Belongs to a class of drugs called taxanes
- Works by stopping cancer cells from dividing and multiplying
- Interferes with the internal skeleton (microtubules) of cancer cells, causing them to die
- Slows down or shrinks tumour growth
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for minor infections or common illnesses
- Not a pain-relief medicine
- Not used to treat benign (non-cancerous) tumours
- Not for use without proper cancer diagnosis and specialist supervision

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

- Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice)
- Severe swelling of hands, feet, or body

HOW TO TAKE IT
- Given only as an intravenous (IV) infusion by a trained healthcare professional
- Administered in a hospital or specialised cancer care setting
- You may be given other medicines beforehand (like steroids) to reduce side effects and allergic reactions
- The dose, frequency, and number of cycles are decided by your oncologist based on your cancer type and response to treatment
- Do not attempt to take this medicine at home or self-administer it
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Since this is given by a healthcare team on a fixed schedule, contact your treatment centre immediately if you are unable to attend a scheduled infusion
