Cefixime 1000mg is prescribed to treat bacterial infections in different parts of the body.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and tonsillitis
- Ear infections
- Throat infections
- Urinary tract infections
- Typhoid fever caused by susceptible bacteria
- Other bacterial infections as advised by your doctor
HOW IT WORKS
- It belongs to a class of antibiotics called cephalosporins
- It stops bacteria from building their protective outer wall
- Without this wall, the bacteria are unable to survive and are eventually destroyed
- This helps clear the infection and relieve symptoms like fever and pain
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It does not work against viral infections like common cold or flu
- It is not used for fungal infections
- It should not be used to self-treat infections without a doctor's prescription
- It is not effective against infections caused by bacteria resistant to cephalosporins

- Severe dizziness or fainting

How to Use ZIFI-X 1gm Injection (Cefixime 1000mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually in divided doses through the day
- Can be taken with or without food, but taking with food may reduce stomach upset
- Swallow tablets with a glass of water; do not crush unless your doctor says it's fine
- Complete the full course even if you start feeling better, unless your doctor advises otherwise
- Do not share this medicine with others even if they have similar symptoms
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your regular schedule
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
- If you miss doses often, set reminders or ask your pharmacist for tips

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
