Glimepiride 2mg is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, helping to control blood sugar levels along with diet and exercise.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Controlling high blood sugar in type 2 diabetes
- Used alone or along with other diabetes medicines like metformin or insulin, as advised by your doctor
- Helps reduce long-term complications of diabetes when blood sugar is well controlled
HOW IT WORKS
- Stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin

How to Use ZIGLIM MV2 Tablets (Glimepiride 2mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
- Take with or just before the first main meal of the day
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water; do not crush or chew unless advised
- Do not skip meals after taking this medicine, as it can cause low blood sugar
- Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well; do not stop without consulting your doctor
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember with your next meal
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one

- Have a deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD)
- Are planning surgery or have any serious infection
MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT
- Other diabetes medicines or insulin
- Blood thinners like warfarin
- NSAIDs and certain antibiotics like sulfonamides
- Beta-blockers, which may mask signs of low blood sugar
- Alcohol, which can increase risk of low blood sugar
