Uses and Benefits of ZOLE OINTMENT (Miconazole 2%)
Miconazole 2% is used to treat fungal infections affecting the skin, mouth, and vaginal region.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Fungal infections of the skin such as ringworm, athlete's foot, and jock itch
- Oral thrush (fungal infection of the mouth)
- Vaginal yeast infections
- Fungal nappy rash in infants
HOW IT WORKS
- Miconazole damages the cell membrane of fungi
- This stops the fungus from growing and spreading
- It gradually clears the infection with regular use
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Bacterial infections
- Viral infections such as cold sores or warts
- Allergic skin rashes not caused by fungus
- Prevention of fungal infections without a doctor's advice

How to Use ZOLE OINTMENT (Miconazole 2%)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Use only on the affected area as prescribed by your doctor
- Wash and dry the area before applying
- Apply a thin layer and gently rub in, unless told otherwise
- Wash hands after application unless the hands are being treated
- Continue for the full duration advised by your doctor, even if symptoms improve
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Apply as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next application, skip the missed one
- Do not apply extra to make up for a missed dose
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep the container tightly closed
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
