WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

  • Lowering high pressure inside the eye caused by open-angle glaucoma
  • Managing ocular hypertension
  • Promoting growth of eyelashes in people with inadequate or thin eyelashes (hypotrichosis)

HOW IT WORKS

  • It belongs to a group of medicines called prostaglandin analogues
  • It helps increase the outflow of fluid (aqueous humour) from inside the eye, which lowers eye pressure
  • For eyelash growth, it increases the length of the hair growth cycle and the number of hairs

How to Use Bimatoprost 0.03%

HOW TO TAKE IT

  • Use only in the eye(s) as prescribed by your doctor
  • Wash your hands before applying the drop
  • Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid, and place one drop in the pocket formed
  • Avoid letting the dropper tip touch your eye, fingers, or any surface
  • If using other eye drops, wait as advised by your doctor between applications
  • Do not wear contact lenses while using this medicine unless your doctor allows it

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

  • Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember
  • If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
  • Do not apply two doses at the same time to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

  • Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat
  • Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • Discard the bottle after the recommended period from opening, as mentioned on the label
